This is a two-sided country store sign, painted on a metal Pepsi advertising sign. The blank side was lettered “Jug Milk 36¢ 1/2 Gal.” in cream paint. The other side reads “Have a Pepsi”, with a blank space in the middle filled in with “Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix 10¢” in whitish paint that is very crazed and crackled. The sign is 30” high by 19 1/2” wide, from about the 1950’s. It has normal wear, with some rust and nail holes, overall in strong condition good for display.

This is an old iron trade sign for a blacksmith shop. It was made and forged, using a variety of horse shoes, welded around a much larger stylized horse shoe. This encloses a cut and hammered anvil and blacksmith’s hammer. The piece is about 28 1/2” high by 25 1/2” wide. It is in excellent condition, and has developed an old dark rich surface, which is highly desirable and reflects many years of outdoor use. There are a few small old paint drips, mostly on the back. It was probably made in the mid to late 1800’s.

Here is a nice old hand painted metal sign. “Fresh Eggs” was probably used in a little farm stand, and looks great in the kitchen. This fairly thick black and white metal sign also has a heavy wire hanger. It likely was done about the 1940’s and is in good, strong condition with typical wear. It is 11” wide by 8 1/2” high plus the hanger wire.

Here is an outer space scene drawn in pastels on black paper by Robert E. Gilbert. A small, very detailed spaceship floats among multicolored stars and nebulae, with a large comet near the top. It measures 9 7/8” by 12 3/4”, is dated Aug. 5, 1984 on the back, and is in excellent condition.

This is a turned wood bottle with a painted menu from Chuck’s Steak House of Kansas City, KS. This restaurant is no longer in business. The bottle was likely made in the 1960’s or ‘70’s. It is solid wood which was then hand painted with the menu in white. The bottle is 12” high by about 5 1/2” in diameter at the widest part. It is in very good condition

This is a primitive hand forged iron object - likely a goat hobble. In other words, it would be pushed into the ground to the cross piece. Then a rope with a goat on one end would be tied through the ring. Now it is a very good looking decorative piece. Probably made in the 1800’s, this is in very good used condition with a rich, dark, smooth surface and slight traces of dark rust. It is 16 1/2” long by 5 5/8” wide and 3/8” thick.

This is a vibrant and graphic African American made one-patch quilt top. It came from east Texas. It is hand pieced from cotton fabrics in a variety of weaves and surfaces. The age is from the middle of the 20th century, made from older fabrics. It measures 85” by 74”, and is in excellent, unwashed condition. The striking color play looks great on a wall or a bed.

This is a very large, unusual and decorative metal wheel with gear teeth around the outer edge. It is painted red and has 14 holes through the body. Near each of the holes is painted a series of numbers. We think this may have been part of a counter mechanism of some sort. It came from a factory North Carolina. The entire wheel is almost 28” in diameter and was cut from heavy sheet steel. It is in good sturdy condition, although has obvious old rust on parts of the surface. This piece seems to have good age, and our guess places it from about the 1950’s or older. What it was actually used for, we really do not know; however, it certainly has an interesting and highly decorative look.
